Baby Reid at 18 weeks

Dear Lynette,

Well our newest addition (in progress) had its second photo shoot last week so I thought I would put up some of the pics (note the gender neutral references! We know bub's sex but out of respect for a few people would like to have a surprise we aren't going to post it hear).

All is going well for James and I at work. Both very busy with our projects and looking forward to moving into our new apartment at the end of the month and then heading to Disneyland and LA with Emmett and Aimee in May. We are then going to do our darnedest to get to Niagra and Toronto hopefully meeting up with Jessie there for the Canada Day long weekend (just before I am too far along to travel).

I have to say I am a bit over Calgary weather at the moment, we had a record 23cm of snowfall April 10th followed two days later by 23 degree weather on Sunday and then snow again Monday morning. Talk about keeping you guessing. I have taken to carrying my jacket with me just in case these days as you really do go from Spring to Winter in a matter of 40 minutes here.

For my wonderful knitting mates, I have finished the baby blanket for our new little niece Charlotte Isabelle who arrived a bit early on 2nd April!! CONGRATULATIONS go out to Dave and Simone on the arrival of their precious 5 pound bundle of joy!! (I can't wait to give her a cuddle at Christmas time). I am in the midst of sewing in the loose ends now and will wash and block it before sending it off to Charlotte asap. (I have to admit I am not particularly enthused with the sewing in the ends part, but no knitter likes that part right?). I have knitted my first we new born hat for our own little monster (who has been kicking me a bot tonight to let me know that he/she is in there). And I just started on a cute "Yoda" style cardigan for Bubba last night. James also found me an awesome pattern for a knitted Dalek for bubs too which I will attempt only when I block Charlotte's blanket!!

Oh it occurs to me I have some non baby pics from a a recent walk we took just before the Bowness River thawed out completely!! (Will have to take another walk by the river to show you what it looks like when the water is running!).
